PASAY CITY 19 July 2022 – Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Deputy Secretary General Yoshiki Takeuchi called on the Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs (UBRAA) Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro at the Department of Foreign Affairs UBRAA Conference Room on 18 July 2022.
The high-level meeting focused on the Philippine participation in various OECD initiatives. DSG Takeuchi emphasized the need for the Philippines’ continued engagement in OECD to strengthen Asian presence in the Forum. Undersecretary Lazaro mentioned that the Philippines appreciates the importance of OECD projects and activities such as its economic outlook reports and research papers. They also discussed gender equality, with Undersecretary Lazaro underscoring the globally-recognized achievements of the Philippines in this area.
Acting Secretary Lazaro was joined by Office of International Economic Relations (OIER) Assistant Secretary Gina A. Jamoralin, OUBRAA Special Assistant Lily Cheng while OECD DSG Takeuchi was joined by Mr. Alexander Böhmer, OECD Global Relations Secretariat for South and Southeast Asia. END
