NEW YORK 19 September 2022 – Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo met with the Foreign Minister of Norway Anniken Huitfeldt on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly Meeting in New York on 19 September 2022.

Secretary Manalo and Foreign Minister Huitfeldt highlighted the strong ties between the Philippines and Norway and affirmed the primary importance the two countries place on maritime affairs.

Secretary Manalo recognized the Royal Norwegian Government for its firm commitment to support the peace negotiations in the Philippines.

In addition to discussing ways to promote bilateral cooperation, both sides exchanged views on international affairs. END
