DFA Supports Quezon City Business Investors’ Summit

QUEZON CITY 13 October 2022 – DFA Assistant Secretary Gina A. Jamoralin of the Office of International Economic Relations (OIER) represented the Department of Foreign Affairs during the Quezon City Business Investor’s Summit 2022 on 07 October 2022 at Novotel Araneta City.
The event showcased the governance reforms and projects undertaken by the City’s administration to enhance its business climate, foster innovation, and growth of sustainable industries. Secretary Alfredo E. Pascual of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) graced the plenary, along with a number of ambassadors and diplomats from foreign embassies based in Manila.
Officials from the City also bared to stakeholders the different opportunities for investment and partnerships in the areas of social services, economic development, high-caliber infrastructure, and environmental sustainability during the breakout session in the afternoon.
At the sidelines of the Summit, Asec. Jamoralin expressed the Department’s support to Mayor Joy Belmonte of the initiatives of Quezon City to make itself “Future-Ready” and a center for growth and innovation. She highlights the importance of seeking high quality investments and creating partnerships with other comparable cities in other countries through a sister city arrangement to foster exchange of ideas and best practices.
