Foreign Affairs Secretary and Mme. Manalo Grace Philippine Baranggay Folk Dance Troupe’s Bayan Ko! Production
PASAY CITY, 01 December 2022 — Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo and Mme. Pamela Louise Manalo graced the Philippine Baranggay Folk Dance Troupe’s (PBFDT) 76th anniversary show “Bayan Ko!” (My country!), held on 26 November at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Also in attendance were Finnish Ambassador to the Philippines Juha Markus Pyykkoe, President of the Spouses of the Heads of Mission Mme. Riitta Laakso, DFA Chief Coordinator Bernadette Therese Fernandez, ASEAN Ladies Foundation, Inc. (ALF) President Siti Sadiah Ahmad Zaidi Adruce together with ALF country representatives of the ASEAN Embassies; and Ms. Nora Salazar, International Bazaar Foundation, Inc. (IBF) Executive Director.
The PBFDT, founded in 1946, is the longest running Philippine cultural performance troupe of its kind. It is committed to preserving and promoting Philippine indigenous tribal and folk culture through music, song, and dance. The PBFDT recently performed at the opening ceremony of the International Bazaar 2022.
