ASEAN Dialogue on the Rights of the Child Proceedings Organized by PH Gets Published on AICHR Website

MANILA, 04 January 2023 - The digital version of the proceedings of the ASEAN Dialogue on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child General Comments, organized by AICHR Philippines in partnership with United Nations Children’s Fund East Asia and Pacific Regional Office, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights South-East Asia Regional Office, and Child Rights Coalition Asia, on 7-8 December 2021 has been officially published in the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) Website.

The Dialogue’s overall objective was to discuss the protection and promotion of the unique rights of children in ASEAN with focus on the salient points and features of General Comment Number 5 (2003) on general measures of implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Number 19 (2016) on public budgeting for the realization of children’s rights. Experts from various organizations and other stakeholders attended the said Dialogue.
