PASAY CITY, 23 May 2023 – Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo met with Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell at the DFA on 19 May 2023.

The meeting was a venue to discuss and mutually appreciate the positive trajectory of Philippines-Sweden bilateral ties, thrusted forward by sustained high level exchanges and growing trade and defense relations. 

Secretary Manalo and Minister Forssell reaffirmed their two countries’ shared values and underscored the importance of having and preserving a rules-based international order for both security and trade matters. Both the Secretary and the Minister jointly looked forward to increased bilateral trade and investments following the Minister’s visits and meetings. END
