Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Calls on the Indian Vice-President

NEW DELHI 28 June 2023 - As part of his official activities in New Delhi, Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo paid a courtesy call on Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar on 28 June 2023. 

During the call, Secretary Manalo highlighted the milestones achieved in Philippine-India relations which will be celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2024.  He also underlined the importance of further improving the partnership between the two countries. 

Vice President Dhankar meanwhile  stressed the many areas on which the Philippines and India  can further strengthen their cooperation. These include pharmaceuticals, digital economy,  agriculture, defense and the blue economy, among others. He also emphasized the commonalities and shared values between the two countries, bringing  them closer together as democracies. END
