DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga Concludes Its National Flag Days Celebration with “Usapang Bandila”

06 July 2023 – The DFA Consular Office in San Fernando Pampanga concluded its month-long National Flag Days commemoration with a forum entitled “Usapang Bandila” which was conducted for the Consular Office personnel on 27 June 2023 to renew and further strengthen their knowledge and appreciation of the Philippine flag.  

“Usapang Bandila” tackled information about the history, description, proper use, and even information trivia related to the Philippine Flag.  It also opened up discussions on how to further highlight the Philippine flag as a symbol of unity among Filipinos.  

The forum stressed the importance of sharing relevant information about the Philippine flag with everyone, particularly the younger population as personnel were encouraged to start on their own household. The Consular Office also prepared a short video on the Philippine Flag which will be included in its digital library and may be used as children’s educational reference. 

Personnel from CO Zambales, TOPS Starmills, and TOPS Olongapo also joined the “Usapang Bandila” Forum. 

To highlight the celebration of the 2023 National Flag Days, the Consular Office prominently displayed the Philippine Flags from 28 May 2023 until 29 June 2023.  END
