DFALF Elevates Workplace Wellness with Inaugural Film Viewing in Collaboration with FDCP

PASAY 15 November 2023 – The DFA Ladies Foundation, Inc. (DFALF), in an impactful partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), held the first-ever DFALF Film Viewing on 10 November 2023 at the DFA Main Building.

Through a thoughtful selection of films addressing pertinent women's issues in society, DFALF, in collaboration with the FDCP, showcased cinematic gems that resonate with the Foundation's commitment to fostering awareness and understanding. The films featured included "Foster Child" (2007) by Brillante Mendoza, "Insiang" (1976) by Lino Brocka, "Brutal" (1980) by Marilou Diaz-Abaya, and "Lola" (2009) by Brillante Mendoza.

The event was attended by 75 Department employees, including outsourced personnel. Ms. Gabriel Venice P. Velazco and Ms. Lyca Jularbal of FDCP - Local Festival and Inter-Agency Partnership Programs, also graced the occasion with their presence.

The DFALF, true to its advocacy to promote holistic wellness within the workplace, organized this Film Viewing to contribute to the physical, intellectual, and social development of its members. This cinematic initiative reflects DFALF's dedication to creating a nurturing work environment that transcends professional growth to include personal enrichment.
