DFA-OVS Signs Memorandum of Agreement with UBE Media and UBE Express to Promote Overseas Voting and Registration

PASAY 07 December 2023 – The Department of Foreign Affairs’ Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with UBE Media, Inc and UBE Express, Inc. on 21 November 2023 at the Bulwagang Elpidio Quirino, DFA Building, for the development, production, and promotion of Overseas Voting (OV) and Registration information materials.

In his welcome remarks, Undersecretary Jesus S. Domingo, DFA-OVS Chairperson and Undersecretary of Civilian Security and Consular Affairs, stated that “This is not a just a renewal of the wonderful cooperation we have with UBE Media and UBE Express, but also we stand to reaffirm our commitment to promote every overseas Filipino’s right to vote.”

Ms. Donna May Lina, President of UBE Media, Inc. and Dr. Garrie David, President of UBE Express, Inc. expressed their full support on this collaborative endeavor.

Under the MOA, UBE Media, Inc. and UBE Express, Inc. are to assist the DFA-OVS in the development of materials and other means of information on promoting overseas voting registration dissemination. The Overseas Voting Registration for the 2025 National and Local Elections will end on 30 September 2024. END
