DFA Office of Protocol Kicks Off Training Caravan on Basic Diplomatic and Government Protocol with Visayas Leg in Cebu City

PASAY 13 December 2023 – The Office of Protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA-OP) conducted the Visayas Leg of the Training Caravan on Basic Diplomatic and Government Protocol from 08 to 09 December 2023 at the Waterfront Hotel Lahug, Cebu City.

The team from the DFA-Office of Protocol, composed of Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) and Executive Director Mary Jennifer D. Dingal, Assistant Director Christian Andrei C. Aguilar, Mr. Rolando T. Salazar, and Ms. Julie Anne D. Marcos, discussed basic concepts on Diplomatic and Government Protocol and conducted simulation activities on various ceremonial and social functions throughout the 2-day training.

The training was hosted by Mayor Michael L. Rama and the City Government of Cebu, and facilitated by the DFA Consular Office in Cebu headed by Ms. Anika A. Fernandez.

Local Government Units, Regional Government Agencies, and DFA Consular Offices in the Visayas regions attended the training. END
