(IBF) Chairperson Madame Pamela Louise Manalo delivers her welcome remarks at the Donors Appreciation Dinner held on 29 April 2024 at the Manila Hotel

MANILA 07 May 2024 - Twenty-two (22) donors of the International Bazaar Foundation, Inc. (IBF) were honored during an Appreciation Dinner hosted by the IBF Board of Trustees led by its Chairperson, Madame Pamela Louise Manalo and IBF President Consul Betty Ang at the Manila Hotel. Gracing the occasion as the Guest of Honor was Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo.

The IBF honored and recognized the invaluable support and generous contribution of its partners who continually supported the International Bazaar Foundation's mission - to help change the lives of the marginalized sectors of society by generating charitable capital and providing services that contribute to the health and well-being of the communities it serves. The Foundation’s major donors are from the Diplomatic and Honorary Consular Corps, the private sector and partner-Universities.

In his message during the event, Secretary Manalo emphasized that “The lifeblood that allows IBF’s charitable legacy and causes to endure this long - is all of you here tonight. Your generosity, over the years, has empowered many to achieve their goals, aspirations, and vocation - not to mention the multiplier effect of your philanthropy which has trickled down to the benefit of the respective families and communities of IBF’s primary beneficiaries. “

One of the Foundation’s flagship initiatives is the Scholarship Program which grants scholarships to deserving children within communities, particularly those in the lower income brackets. Over time, the IBF has granted more than 500 scholarships with the majority of the scholars graduating with honors.  Aside from the Scholarship Program, the IBF’s focus has also been on improving the lives of the vulnerable populations of our society through its outreach programs with charity institutions which have been the IBF’s beneficiaries for more than a decade.

In her welcome remarks, IBF Chairperson Madame Manalo thanked the donors for their kind and generous support. She stated “With your unwavering support, we are crafting a future brimming with promise. Your contributions serve as a cornerstone in our journey toward meaningful change, and we are honored to walk this path, hand in hand with you.”

The International Bazaar Foundation (IBF) is a non-profit fundraising institutional foundation established in 1966. With over 57 years of dedicated service, the IBF remains committed to its vision of supporting disadvantaged sectors of the population through charitable activities as well as fostering stronger bonds within the diplomatic community in Manila.
