Timor Leste Diplomats Complete FSI’s Foreign Diplomats’ Program

MANILA 10 July 2024 – The Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy (FSI – CPRSD) awarded certificates of completion to Mr. Jorge Da Silva Cruz Araujo and Mr. Rofindo Pinto Da Cruz from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor Leste on 18 June 2024 for their participation in the Foreign Diplomats’ Program (FDP).
Messrs. Araujo and Cruz participated in six programs under the Foreign Service Officers’ Cadetship Course – Batch XXX. The topics included the Program on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Program on Diplomatic Communication, and Program on Protocol and Conference Management.
At the conclusion of FDP, Executive Director Lolita B. Capco congratulated and acknowledged the efforts of the junior diplomats and expressed hope that the training came at the right time in their careers. Deputy Director General Dr. Marichu C. Liwanag and CPRSD Director Prof. Evelyn O. Katigbak also graced the occasion.
A video was shared during the closing ceremony showcasing a memory montage of the FDP participants’ training experience from 2 May to 18 June 2024 and well wishes from their Filipino counterparts.
The FDP is the Institute’s contribution to Philippine bilateral and multilateral commitments by hosting participants from selected ASEAN Member States. Diplomats from Lao PDR earlier joined the Program on Protocol and Conference Management of the FDP. END
