CO Puerto Princesa Personnel Join Ranks of the Philippine Air Force Reserve Command
PUERTO PRINCESA 26 July 2024 – Nineteen (19) out of CO Puerto Princesa’s 23 personnel are now full-fledged members of the Philippine Air Force Reserve Command after four of them graduated from the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) Class “Malaya” 2024 – Alpha of the 4th Air Reserve Center on 20 July 2024 in Puerto Princesa City.
Head of Consular Office (HCO) Ms. Liza Jane V. Estalilla, Ms. Ces V. Castillo (Finance Officer), Mr. Jayson S. Robles (Administrative Officer II), and Ms. Mayra L. Espino (Utility Personnel) were among the sixty (60) graduates who underwent three (3) months of basic military training conducted in Puerto Princesa City by the 4th Air Reserve Center headed by Col. Eulogio M. Nabua, PAF. Apart from receiving her graduation certificate, HCO Estalilla was awarded a Plaque of Appreciation in recognition of her active support as stakeholder for fostering collaboration, inclusivity and mutual respect with the 4th Air Reserve Center of the Philippine Air Force in accomplishing its unit mission in the Palawan Joint Area of Operations.
MGen Elpidio Talja, Commander of the Philippine Air Force Reserve Command, was the Keynote Speaker during the graduation ceremony. In his message, MGen Talja thanked the graduates for committing themselves to the country’s reserve force especially with Palawan in the forefront of the ongoing tensions in the West Philippine Sea. He emphasized the significant role they will play in support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines not only in times of war but also in times of natural disasters, other emergencies, and in our country’s socio-economic development.
During their training, CO Puerto Princesa’s reservist team had the opportunity to closely observe and deeply appreciate the sacrifices, dedication and hard work of the men and women in the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The experience also expanded their knowledge about military operations and tactics while strengthening their resilience and character as they pushed themselves to pass the challenges given to them during the course. Moreover, everyone felt a profound sense of patriotism and pride as they joined the ranks of the Philippine Air Force Reserve Command. END
