Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Visit the Philippines to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

MANILA 23 August 2024 – His Excellency Sok Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (DPM/FM) of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will embark on an official visit to the Philippines on 27-28 August 2024. 

DPM/FM Sok’s visit is his first official bilateral visit to an ASEAN Member State as the Head of Delegation and the first visit by a Cambodian Foreign Minister to the Philippines since 2017. 

During his stay, he and Secretary Enrique A. Manalo will co-chair the fourth meeting of the Philippines-Cambodia Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC), to discuss important areas of cooperation, such as defense and security, trade and investments, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges, among others.
