PASAY 22 November 2024 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the  Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) have signed a landmark Memorandum of  Agreement (MOA) for the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program, which aims to  streamline and enhance the efficiency of government procurement processes.

The GPC is a credit card that serves as an alternative payment solution for the  procurement of eligible expenditures, including travel expenses, computer softwares,  and venue rentals.

“The DFA recognized the GPC Program as an opportunity to further its own innovation  efforts in support of the Philippine government’s thrust towards modernization and  digitalization,” stated Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique A. Manalo. “Partnering with  LANDBANK, one of the country's premier financial institutions, for this undertaking is  a significant milestone for the DFA.”

“We at LANDBANK express our full support for the success of this Program. We are  committed to ensuring it delivers meaningful results for the DFA – faster procurement  transactions, better resource management, and stronger service delivery,” said  LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.
