VATICAN 29 November 2024 - Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo was granted an audience with His Holiness Pope Francis, at the Vatican on 21 November 2024. Secretary Manalo conveyed good wishes from the Filipino Catholic faithful for Pope Francis' health, as well as the joy of Filipino pilgrims for the upcoming Jubilee Year of the Catholic Church in 2025.

Secretary Manalo is currently on an official visit to Italy for the expanded session of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Summit. While here, he took the opportunity to meet key officials of the Holy See. The Philippines and the Holy See share long-standing bilateral relations. With the world’s third largest number of Catholics, cooperation with the Holy See is of great importance to the Philippines.
