MANILA 26 November 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs has been recommended to maintain its ISO 9001:2015 certification following a comprehensive second surveillance audit.

A three-member audit team from TÜV Nord Philippines, Inc., an independent third-party ISO certification body, conducted a hybrid audit of the DFA on 18 and 19 November 2024. The auditors verified and evaluated the processes and procedures of eight organizational units, including the leadership role of the DFA’s top management in line with ISO requirements on quality management.

Currently, the scope of the DFA’s ISO 9001:2015 certificate covers the consular services, assistance-to-nationals (ATN) services, as well as the management and support services related to consular and ATN services in 11 sites, including the DFA main office,  the Office of Consular Affairs in Aseana, all consular offices in Metro Manila, and consular offices in Dasmariñas, Pampanga, and Lucena.

The maintenance of this ISO 9001:2015 certificate demonstrates the Department’s unwavering commitment to provide quality service to the Filipino public and other stakeholders, as well as to continual improvement. END
