DFA Participates in 2025 Open Government Partnership Fun Run

MANILA 04 February 2025 — A total of 124 personnel of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) participated in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Fun Run held on January 26, 2025 at the Quirino Grandstand. The OGP Fun Run, which served as a precursor to the Philippine OGP (PH-OGP) Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting to be conducted in February 2025, aimed not only to promote health and physical wellness among civil servants, but also to advocate for participatory, transparent, inclusive, and accountable governance. 

The DFA contingent to the fun run was led by Undersecretary for Administration Ma. Hellen B. De la Vega, Office of United Nations & International Organizations (UNIO) Assistant Secretary Maria Teresa Almojuela, Office of Assets Management & Support Services (OAMSS) Assistant Secretary Patrick Hilado, and Office of Financial Management Services (OFMS) Assistant Secretary Emil Fernandez. They joined Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, Chairperson of the PH-OGP, during the run.

The activity showcased collaboration and partnership as powerful tools in achieving a shared vision and goal, in keeping with the overall thrust and principles espoused by the OGP, and the DFA’s full support of OGP’s initiatives. All proceeds of the activity were given to the Philippine Red Cross to fund its various humanitarian programs.  END
