Civil Service Commission Confirms FSI-FSIEA CNA

MANILA 21 February 2025 – On 17 February 2025, FSI Director General Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III received from Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office - GSIS Director Philip C. Apostol the Certificate of Registration of the new Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) between the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) and the Foreign Service Institute Employees’ Association (FSIEA), FSI’s accredited employees’ organization. 

The event was held after the Institute’s Flag Raising Ceremony. Fernandez and Apostol were joined by FSIEA President Maria Luz S. Verdejo and other FSIEA officials.

The certificate of registration was signed by the Chairperson of CSC, Atty. Marilyn B. Yap, and will be in effect from 19 December 2024 to 18 December 2027. The CNA reflects the continuing commitment of the FSI management and its employees to actively work together towards prioritizing employee welfare and preserving their right to organize pursuant to Executive Order No. 180, series of 1987.

The Foreign Service Institute is the training and research agency attached to the Department of Foreign Affairs. It was created under Presidential Decree No. 1060 and its remit was expanded under Republic Act No. 7157. END
