DFA Conducts Protocol and Liaison Officer Training for National Anti-Poverty Commission Personnel

MANILA 27 February 2025 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) conducted a one-day training on diplomatic protocol, social graces, and liaison officer duties for personnel of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) at the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) Headquarters in Quezon City on 12 February 2025. The training aimed to equip NAPC staff with essential skills in protocol management and liaison functions for official engagements.

Organized by NAPC, the session was facilitated by a team from the DFA Office of Protocol, led by Acting Director O’myr Faisal Mustafa C. Abdalla, with the assistance of Ms. Nova L. De Lara.

A total of 25 participants attended the training, which covered the fundamentals of diplomatic etiquette, social graces, and ceremonial protocols. The program also featured practical exercises and simulations designed to enhance their understanding and preparedness for official events.

During the closing ceremony, NAPC Undersecretary Girlie Amarillo underscored the relevance of the training in the daily responsibilities of NAPC personnel, emphasizing its role in enhancing professionalism in government service.
