DFA Conducts Protocol, Social Graces and Etiquette Training for Personnel of Department of Justice

MANILA 28 February 2025 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) conducted a one-day training on diplomatic protocol, social graces, and etiquette for personnel of the Department of Justice (DOJ) on 14 February 2025 at the DOJ Justice Hall in Padre Faura, Ermita, Manila.
The training, hosted by the DOJ, was facilitated by a team from the DFA Office of Protocol (DFA-OP), led by Acting Director O’myr Faisal Mustafa C. Abdalla, with the assistance of Mr. Jaimes Reymark Salinel, Ms. Nova De Lara, and Mr. Bernard Bartolome.
More than 60 DOJ legal staff participated in the session which introduced them to the fundamentals of ceremonial protocol and provided practical insights into the duties and responsibilities of a Protocol Officer. The program also featured simulation exercises designed to enhance the participants' understanding and preparedness for official events. Chief State Counsel Dennis Arvin L. Chan, in his remarks during the program, expressed his appreciation to the Department and DFA-OP for the timely and valuable training.
