President Marcos Receives Credentials of Three Resident Ambassadors and Envoys Pay Tribute to Dr. Jose Rizal

MANILA 02 April 2025 – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed three newly accredited resident ambassadors who formally presented their credentials in a ceremony at Malacañan Palace on 25 March 2025. Secretary of Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo and Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs Reichel P. Quiñones joined the President in receiving the envoys.
The ambassadors who presented their letters of credence were:
- H.E. Edgar Rodrigo Rojas Garavito – Republic of Colombia
- H.E. Sin Saream – Kingdom of Cambodia
- H.E. Yuliia Fediv – Ukraine
The presentation of credentials marks the official start of their tenure as their countries’ representatives to the Philippines, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
Following the ceremony, the ambassadors proceeded to Rizal Park for a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument, honoring the legacy of Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. The tribute underscored their respect for the Filipino people and symbolized their dedication to fostering closer ties with the country.
The Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Protocol, led by Assistant Secretary and Chief of Protocol Ariel Rodelas Peñaranda, coordinated the ceremonial events in collaboration with the Office of Presidential Protocol. The Philippine Navy, the National Parks Development Committee, and other partner agencies supported the wreath-laying ceremony. END
