CAVITE 25 April 2025 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Office of Protocol (DFA-OP), conducted a two-day training on diplomatic and government Protocol for over 200 graduating cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) at the PNPA National Heroes Hall in Cavite.
The training, held on 14 and 15 April, was hosted by the PNPA and facilitated by two DFA-OP teams. On 14 April, Acting Director O’Myr Faisal Mustafa Abdalla led the session, assisted by Ms. Nova L. De Lara and Mr. Luigi Kyle V. Rosales. The succeeding batch on 15 April was facilitated by Acting Director Christian Andrei Aguilar, with the support of Mr. Bernard Bartolome and Ms. Trisha Erin Estaris.
The sessions were designed to equip the graduating cadets, who are set to join the police service upon their graduation on 26 April 2025, with foundational knowledge in diplomatic and ceremonial protocol. The training covered essential procedures in welcoming official delegations, managing high-level engagements, and observing proper conduct in bilateral meetings and signing ceremonies. Simulation exercises were also conducted to provide participants with practical experience in formal diplomatic scenarios.
In her welcome remarks, PNPA Dean of Academics Police Brigadier General Ma. Sheila T. Portento expressed her gratitude to DFA-OP for supporting the professional development of the cadets through the conduct of the training. END
