MANILA 07 May 2025 – In observance of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Department of Foreign Affairs Ladies Foundation, Inc. (DFALF) provided free self-care services to DFA personnel in the DFA Headquarters at Double Dragon Tower and in the Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) at Aseana Business Park, on 28 and 29 April 2025, respectively.
Through DFALF’s partnership with Derm Factor Essentials, DFA employees were pampered with an array of free and rejuvenating wellness services, such as aromatic facials, foot and hand spa treatments, massage services, nail and foot care, and eyelash and eyebrow services. A total of 438 distinct services were availed of during the two-day wellness activity. Derm Factor Essentials is a corporate social responsibility group that has been partnering with government institutions since 2009, with the objective of empowering public servants through skin care, stress management, and professional image enhancement.
In a brief program at the Office of Consular Affairs, OCA Assistant Secretary Ma. Antonina Mendoza-Oblena highlighted the importance of work-life balance, especially of OCA frontliners, and thanked DFALF for its commitment in promoting workplace wellness in the Office for three consecutive years. DFALF President and OUCSCA Acting Deputy Undersecretary Christina Rola-McKernan, in turn, provided updates of the Foundation and encouraged DFA personnel to register as members of DFALF. A Certificate of Appreciation and token was presented to Derm Factor Essentials through its founder, Mr. Joselito E. Alaba.
Throughout the back-to-back wellness event, DFALF welcomed sixty new members from DFA Headquarters and OCA. New members had the chance to win DFALF merchandise and gift certificates through a raffle draw.
Female DFA employees and adult female dependents of male DFA employees may join the DFALF. Exclusive wellness events and activities are made available to its members every year. Membership dues go towards scholarships and other charitable projects. For more information, visit bit.ly/DFALadiesFoundation. END
