EU’s Top Diplomat to Visit the Philippines

MANILA 31 May 2025 — The Philippines is set to welcome EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission (HRVP), H.E. Kaja Kallas, for an official visit to the Philippines from 01 to 02 June 2025.

This is the first visit of HRVP Kallas to the Philippines, following her appointment on 01 December 2024. 

The visit marks a significant milestone in the diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the European Union, highlighting the shared commitment to open political dialogue and enhanced cooperation in pursuit of peace, stability, and sustainable development.

HRVP Kallas will meet with Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo to discuss ways to further strengthen Philippines–EU relations amidst challenging regional and international issues. She will also meet with other high-level officials of the Philippine government. END
