DFA Inaugurates NCR Central Consular Office

MANILA 17 June 2025 — The DFA Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) reopened its permanent Consular Office (CO) at Robinsons Galleria, Quezon City on 10 June 2025, following its relocation that began on 30 May 2025.

Gracing the occasion at CO NCR Central were 3rd District representative Franz S. Pumaren, Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Carlos G. Sotto, OCA Assistant Secretary Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena, and Robinsons Land Corporation Corporate Affairs Director Atty. Jose Aliling.

Also joining were the OCA Consular Offices Coordinating Division (COCD) Acting Director, Manuel C. Ayap, and the Head of Consular Office, NCR Central, Maria Luisa L. Remulla.

The establishment of the CO at the Robinsons Galleria ensures a more efficient and convenient delivery of passports and other consular services to the public.

In her keynote address, DFA-OCA Assistant Secretary Maria Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena highlighted that the inauguration reflects the Department’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the well-being of its employees while ensuring that the efficiency and quality of consular services to the public remain uncompromised.

The first passport applicant was an Overseas Filipino Worker who applied for a passport renewal service, sharing that she needed the passport because her son abroad was arranging for her migration.

Following the inauguration of CO NCR Central, a total of 115 applicants were accommodated for passport applications and release. CO NCR Central is open to the public Monday to Friday, from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. END
