DFA Office of Consular Affairs Now on Facebook: A New Platform for Timely and Transparent Public Service

MANILA 30 June 2025 — The Department of Foreign Affairs' Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) launches its official Facebook Page on 30 June 2025. 

As part of its mandate to serve the public, the DFA-OCA continues to deliver key consular services to Filipinos, including the issuance of Philippine passports for international travel; Apostille services for the authentication of public documents intended for use abroad; and Civil Registration services for the reporting of vital events, such as births, marriages, and the passing of Filipino nationals that occurred outside the Philippines. DFA-OCA also caters to and facilitates the entry of foreign nationals into the country through the issuance of Philippine visas for various lawful purposes.

Through the Facebook Page “DFA - Office of Consular Affairs”, DFA’s forward-facing office is improving its reach and public engagement by providing an avenue for sharing timely, accurate, and relevant consular updates through press releases, public advisories, and announcements, as well as responding to inquiries on consular processes, reaching more Filipinos within the Philippines and overseas through the social media platform.
