27 January 2015 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario was received yesterday, January 26, at the Royal Court in Riyadh. He conveyed, on behalf of President Benigno S. Aquino III and the entire Filipino nation, his condolences on the passing of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He was received by the sons and grandsons of the late King Abdullah, and other senior members of the Royal Family.  Secretary Del Rosario joined world leaders, foreign dignitaries, senior Saudi officials and religious leaders in the brief and simple ceremony. The Secretary was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concerns Rafael E. Seguis, Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ezzedin H. Tago, and Minister and Consul General Marshall Louis M. Alferez. END
