05 March 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Tripoli reported that 35 Filipinos, composed of 24 nurses and 5 dependents from Sirte and the rest from Tripoli, joined the repatriation operations on March 04. The repatriates, accompanied by the Embassy team led by Charge d'Affaires Adel Cruz, departed for Tunis Carthage International Airport. The Embassy team based in Tunisia stands ready to provide them with all the appropriate consular and airport assistance. 

Meanwhile, forty-one (41) Filipinos are scheduled to be repatriated on March 07 from Benghazi. The repatriates, escorted by Embassy personnel and assisted by the Libyan Red Crescent, will travel to Al Bayda where they will stay overnight. They will travel to Tunis the following day and are set to depart for Manila on March 09.

Another repatriation operation is scheduled on March 21 from Tripoli for OFWs from central and western Libya.

The DFA and the Embassy in Tripoli strongly urge all remaining Filipinos in Libya to note the succeeding repatriation schedules and register for repatriation immediately. OFWs may contact the Embassy Team in Tripoli at +218927471949, +2189161555264, and +218916656134.
