08 April 2015 – Ninety-one (91) Filipino repatriates from Yemen are scheduled to arrive in Manila tomorrow, April 09. These repatriates joined the Philippine Embassy-led land evacuation from Hodeidah, Yemen to Jizan, Saudi Arabia in the past week and will be the first group to arrive in the Philippines. The Embassy team is currently arranging the flight details of the other groups.
The repatriates flew from Jizan to Riyadh today and will proceed to their return flights to Manila in two batches. The Embassy team facilitated the departure and provided airport, consular and other forms of assistance to the repatriates.
The first batch composed of sixty-nine (69) repatriates will arrive at 3:40 p.m. via flight 5J741, while the second batch composed of twenty-two (22) repatriates will arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at 4:45 p.m. on board flight CX919. Representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will extend airport courtesies to the repatriates upon their arrival at NAIA.
The DFA strongly appeals to the remaining Filipinos to leave Yemen while there is still time and opportunity to do so. All Filipinos are advised to immediately register for repatriation with the Crisis Management Team (CMT) currently deployed in Movenpick Hotel Sana’a and in Al-Sherif Hotel Hodeidah.
