04 August 2015 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah facilitated the successful medical repatriation of Mr. Restituto Galigao, a Filipino who suffered cardiac arrest in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, last 28 November 2014. Mr. Galigao arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on August 03 at 4:10 P.M. via SV 864, assisted on board by a Filipino medical professional working in Saudi Arabia.
The Consulate General arranged the flight of Mr. Galigao and the medical professional who accompanied him. Officials from the DFA’s Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs (OUMWA), the Department of Health, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration received Mr. Galigao upon his arrival at NAIA.
