12 August 2015 – Secretary Albert F. del Rosario received a delegation of parliamentarians from Japan’s House of Representatives led by Hon. Mikio Shimoji of the Japan Innovation Party on August 11 and exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional and international developments.

They noted the strong and vibrant ties between the Philippines and Japan. They also affirmed the importance of the rule of law, peaceful settlement of disputes, and maritime security in the region.

Hon. Shimoji was joined by other members of the Japan Innovation Party, namely Hon. Yoichiro Aoyagi, Hon. Kazumi Ota, Hon. Toyofumi Yoshida, Hon. Hirofumi Yoshimura,  and Hon. Go Shinohara. END
