The Government of the Philippines extends most heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the Governments and peoples of Afghanistan and Pakistan for the terrible loss of lives and heavy damage to property caused by the earthquake of 26 October 2015.

The Philippines and the Filipino people share the pain and anguish caused by this natural calamity.

We stand squarely and in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan and Pakistan and closely monitor the developments on the ground.

We pray for strength and comfort for those whose lives have been drastically altered by this event and immediate recovery for the communities affected by the earthquake. END
