29 October 2015 - The Department of Foreign Affairs - Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS) announced on October 28 that DFA-OVS and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Pilipinas Global Network Limited (“TV5 International”) at the 21st Floor Marajo Tower, 26th Avenue corner 4th St., Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig for overseas voting for the 2016 Presidential elections.

This agreement between DFA-OVS, COMELEC, and TV5 International will further increase awareness on the procedures and system of overseas voting, as well as the importance of politically empowering Filipinos here and abroad. 

All Filipino citizens who expect to be abroad during the 30-day (April 09 to May 09, 2016) overseas voting period for the 2016 Presidential Elections, at least 18 years old on 09 May 2016, and not otherwise disqualified by law may personally register as an overseas voter at all Philippine Foreign Service Posts (FSPs) including the three Manila Economic and Cultural Offices (MECO), 15 Overseas Voter Registration Center (OVRCs) in the Philippines and at other COMELEC approved field/mobile registration centers. Overseas Filipinos in the Asia Pacific (except China and Taiwan), Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa region may now go to irehistro.comelec.gov.ph/ov  to access the iREHISTRO on-line system to register as an overseas voter. The voter registration period ends on October 31. END
