21 January 2016 - The Department of Foreign Affairs, Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS), together with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), signed on January 20 a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Breakthrough and Milestones Production International (BMPI)-UNTV to promote overseas voting for the 2016 national elections.

This agreement between DFA-OVS, COMELEC and BMPI-UNTV is expected to increase awareness of the procedures and system of overseas voting, as well as the importance of politically empowering Filipinos here and abroad. 

All Filipino citizens who are registered overseas voters and are abroad during the thirty-day overseas voting period (April 09 to May 09) for the 2016 national elections may participate in overseas voting.
