PH Embassy Participates in the ASEAN Family Day Friendship Bowling Games 2023 in Athens

ATHENS 10 August 2023 - The Philippine Embassy in Greece actively participated in the ASEAN Family Day organized by the ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT), chaired by the Indonesian Embassy, which featured a Friendship Bowling Game on 06 August 2023 at the Cosmos Bowling Center in Athens.
The event was held as part of the 56th Anniversary of ASEAN to promote ASEAN solidarity and community values.
Officials and staff of the Embassies of Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam, and their families gathered together to form four (4) teams with a mix of players from each of the four ASEAN Embassies in Greece to foster camaraderie.
Each team was led by the Heads of Mission of each ASEAN Embassy: Philippine Ambassador to Greece Giovanni E. Palec - White Team; Indonesian Ambassador Bebeb A.K. Nugruha Djundjunan - of Red Team; Thai Ambassador-designate Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya - Blue Team; and Viet Nam Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Ms. Phuong Thuy Nguyen - Yellow Team.
As part of the program, the ACAT Spouses also sponsored gift items for the raffle draw, which was open to all attendees. Beginners and children enjoyed their own fun game.
The Red Team was declared the winner of the game, followed by the White Team, with the Yellow and Blue Teams placing third and fourth respectively. Mr. Roy A. Sorioso, Staff of the Philippine Embassy, was proclaimed the top-scorer among all the players with a total of 322 points for two games. END
