ASEAN London Committee (ALC) Celebrates ASEAN Family Day 2023

LONDON 04 September 2023 – Under the Chairship of the Philippine Embassy led by Ambassador Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr., the ASEAN London Committee (ALC) celebrated ASEAN Month and ASEAN Day by organizing the 3rd ASEAN Family Day in London. The event was attended by the Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and staff of all ten (10) ASEAN Missions in London together with their families, totalling almost 500 attendees.

In his welcome remarks, Ambassador Locsin highlighted ASEAN unity in the face of growing geopolitical challenges and how ASEAN has come an anchor of stability and prosperity in our region. He encouraged those who attended to get to know one another and grow closer through the appreciation of each other’s company, food, music and dance.

Participants engaged in friendly competition through the various party games prepared for both adults and kids. There were also cultural performances, a raffle draw, and lunch featuring dishes and cuisine from all throughout Southeast Asia. END
