ASEAN Committee in Prague Celebrates ASEAN 50 in Czechia

13th Meeting of ASEAN Committee in Prague on 08 August 2017.

08 August 2017 PRAGUE – The Philippine Embassy staff led by Chargé d’affaires, a.i. Juan E. Dayang, Jr., joined the flag-raising ceremony of the ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP) to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN.  The ceremony was held at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Heads of Missions and personnel of the five resident ASEAN member Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, were joined by diplomats from ASEAN Dialogue Partners and Czech government officials.

Prior to the ceremony, the Ambassador of Thailand H.E. Narong Sasitorn turned over the ACP Chair to the Ambassador of Vietnam H.E. Truong Manh Son.  The Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam hosted the ASEAN Day Celebration with a simple ceremony followed by a reception.
