Filipino Community in Myanmar Celebrates Yuletide Season with White Christmas Party

The Filipino Community Organization in Myanmar, Pilipinas.MM, held a White Christmas-themed Party at the Inya Lake Hotel Grand Ballroom on December 10 with almost 250 Filipinos and foreigners in attendance. In his Opening remarks, PHL Ambassador Kapunan reminded the Filipinos of the importance of doing good to others, not only in the spirit of Christmas, but all-year round. The Ambassador also awarded prizes to the winners of the Filipino Community Dart Competition earlier in the year and participated in parlor games. The Christmas party also featured dance performances by The Fusion and song numbers from Kanale Band and Edralin Ishizaki, and giving of raffle prizes throughout the night. The event was also attended by Embassy personnel and guests from the DFA Home Office in Manila including Assistant Secretary Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia.
