PHL Embassy in Brunei Attends Thanksgiving Mass in Celebration of the 119th Philippine Independence Day

15 June 2017 BRUNEI – The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, led by Ambassador Meynardo LB. Montealegre, attended a Thanksgiving Mass on June 11 at the Church of Our Lady of Assumption, in celebration of the 119th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence. With more than 300 Filipinos in attendance, the mass was celebrated by Bishop Cornelius Sim, the Vicar Apostolic of the Catholic Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei, assisted by visiting Filipino priest, Father Marthy Marcelo. Following the mass, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office distributed food packs to members of the Filipino community.
