PHL Embassy in Manama, Knights of Rizal Celebrate 156^th Birth Anniversary of Jose Rizal

28 June 2017 MANAMA — The Knights of Rizal (KOR) - Bahrain, in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy celebrated the 156^th Birth Anniversary of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal with a Flag Raising and Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Embassy on June 19. The program consisted of the singing of the national anthem, oath of allegiance to the Filipino flag by Sir Edre Bayno, invocation led by Sir Rory Aguilar, the Recitation of the Code of Ethics led by Sir Giovani Bugarin, and the pledge to the Flag led by Sir Jim Gamul. Sir Rene Caseda. KOR Chapter Commander gave his welcome remarks while Sir Lito Bugarin shared the significant events of the life of Dr. Rizal. The wreath-laying was led by OKOR Chapter Commander Rene Caseda and Consul Maria Paz G. Cortes, and the Knights of Rizal.
