Chongqing and Kunming Celebrate the 119th Anniversary of Philippine Independence

29 June 2017 — The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing celebrated Philippine Independence Day in Chongqing and Kunming on June 15 and 17, respectively.
Celebrating in Chongqing
Over 100 guests attended the Philippine Independence Day celebration at the Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in Chongqing. Among the event’s illustrious guests were officials from the Chongqing municipal government, members of the consular corps, and various acquaintances from the business, travel, media, cultural, and academic sectors, and members of the Filipino community.
The Deputy Director General of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of Chongqing, Dr. Du Li Ming was the Guest of Honor.
Celebrating in Kunming
Members of the Filipino gathered for the Philippine Independence Day celebration in Kunming in a more intimate gathering. Filipino cuisine was served during the event.
