New York PHL Consulate General Supports PHL Independence Day Ceremony in Union, New Jersey
29 June 2017 NEW YORK — The 119th Anniversary of Philippine Independence Day was celebrated with a flag-raising ceremony at Union, New Jersey Municipal Hall attended by Deputy Consul General to New York Felipe F. Cariño III (5th from left) and President of the Bayanihan Club of Union Mr. Isagani Puertollano (3rd from left) on June 18. They were joined by Union Township Mayor Suzette Cavadas (4th from right), Deputy Mayor Joseph Florio (4th from left), and Bayanihan Club members. Mayor Cavadas and Deputy Mayor Florio presented a proclamation from the Union Township Council recognizing June 18, 2017 as Philippine Independence Day celebration in the township, acknowledging the contribution of the Bayanihan Club of Union to American-Filipino ties.
