PHL Embassy in Nairobi Celebrates 119th Anniversary of Declaration of Philippine Independence

05 July 2017 NAIROBI — The Philippine Embassy in Nairobi together with the Filipino Community celebrated the 119th Anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence at the Philippine Embassy Chancery in Nairobi, Kenya. 

The event was celebrated with a flag-raising ceremony, the reading of the messages of the President and the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and the induction of the new officers of the Filipino Community and cake cutting ceremony.  It ended with the community singing Andres

Bonifacio’s “Pag-Ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa”.
