PH Embassy in Myanmar Celebrates 120th Anniversary of PH Independence

YANGON 27 June 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar celebrated the 120th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine independence with the Filipino Community in Yangon at the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon on 17 June 2018.

Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan Jr. delivered the Independence Day message of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, while Third Secretary and Vice Consul Stephanie Alexis A. Cruz delivered the Independence Day message of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano.

The celebration featured performances from various Filipino performing artists in Yangon such as Barangay Sedona, Kanale Band, Fusion Act Band and Queenie Smith.

Around 200 Filipinos attended the event END.
