Fiesta Sa Embahada Draws 1,800 Filipinos in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR 10 July 2019 – Over 1,800 Filipinos in Malaysia greeted the 121st Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence with a bang at the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur’s annual Fiesta sa Embahada held on 30 June 2019 at the Komplex Kraft (Craft Complex) Kuala Lumpur.
Organized by the Embassy in partnership with ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel (TFC), Philippine Airlines, and the Federation of Filipino Associations in Malaysia (FFAM), the event featured an afternoon of free musical entertainment, raffles, and games.
The Fiesta sa Embahada featured local Filipino bands and performances from Filipino community organizations.
ABS-CBN TV personality and comedian MC hosted the TFC segment, while The Voice champion Jason Dy serenaded the audience with soulful ballads and pop hits.
The Fiesta sa Embahada is a yearly event organized by the Embassy in partnership with the FFAM, with the goal of bringing together the Filipino community in Malaysia in celebration of the anniversary of Philippine Independence. END
