PH Embassy in Islamabad Celebrates 124th Anniversary of Philippine Independence

ISLAMABAD 16 June 2022 — The Philippine Embassy in Islamabad celebrated the 124th anniversary of the Philippine Independence with the theme “Kalayaan 2022: Pagsuong sa Hamon ng Panibagong Bukas” at the Embassy grounds on 12 June.

 The video messages of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. were shown and messages of Secretaries of National Defense and Interior and Local Government were read by their individual representatives at Post.

The flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony in the morning was followed by a Philippine Fiesta bazaar held at the Roomy Signature Hotel, Islamabad from 12:00 noon to 08:00 p.m. The bazaar featured Filipino food products, traditional dance performances, and games participated by members of Filipino, Pakistani and diplomatic communities.
