PH Consulate General in Vancouver Joins Independence Day Flag Raising Event in Richmond

VANCOUVER 16 June 2023 — In commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence and the 9th Philippine Flag Raising Ceremony in Richmond, Consul General Arlene T. Magno, along with the men and women of the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, attended the flag raising ceremony organized by Multicultural Helping House Society (MHHS) Richmond at the Richmond City Hall on 10 June 2023.  

Acting Mayor of Richmond Andy Hobbs, Member of Parliament (MP) Wilson Miao, MLA Teresa Wat, MLA Henry Yao and MLA Kelly Greene joined the celebration.  The event started with the parade, followed by the flag raising ceremony, greetings by officials, and performances.

MP Wilson Miao and MLA Wat issued Certificates  and delivered warm greetings from their respective offices to mark the occasion. END
