PH Embassy in Bangkok Celebrates 125th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence

BANGKOK 14 June 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok held its diplomatic reception commemorating the 125th Anniversary of Philippine Independence on 12 June 2023 at The Ballroom, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health Anutin Charnvirakul as the guest of honor and representative of the Royal Thai government.
The event also served as a showcase of Filipino talent, culture and arts by featuring upcoming artists from ArtShow Philippines; Mr. Parker Bolanio, a Thailand based-Filipino artist; and Ms. Hanna Supetran, an award-winning, internationally-acclaimed Filipina visual artist who has been identified by Italian art curators as one of the “World’s 50 Contemporary Artists to Invest In” for three years running now.
Philippine traditional dances like itik-itik, maglalatik, tinikling, and singkil performed by a group of gifted Filipino teachers based in Thailand and a fashion show of the modern Filipiniana collection of Ms. Len Nepomuceno Mortel, a Bangkok-based Filipina designer, completed the evening’s cultural showcase.
